Well well well. Here’s another one that isn’t from a game or a Vocaloid.

However, I would never have heard this were it not for a Gmod machinima based on the album. The movie’s rather weird, but the music is cool.

The release of the Ghosts I-IV album is interesting. The first quarter of the album is free to download, and the whole album was released under a Creative Commons license, meaning anyone can use the music as they like for non-profit purposes. So we get to have cool stuff like the Ghosts machinima. Unlike the major music companies these days, Trent Reznor knows how the Internet works, and how he can use it to his advantage. I like this guy.

I’m a big fan of Mokou. And Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke is one of my favorite themes.

ChaosAngel, a Touhou music uploader, ran a contest last week to see whose theme would be featured on Valentine’s Day. Basically, if you had to pick one of the girls from Gensokyo, who would you ask to be your valentine? Rather than vote for Aya simply because I like her theme the best, I answered truthfully. Mokou.

Touhou Anime Maikaze Ep. 2 Trailer

You may remember my glowing fanboyism over A Summer Day’s Dream.

After watching that, the only natural thing to say was: “When’s the next one coming out?”

I searched the Internet for an answer. To my surprise, I could find nothing other than people saying it had been canceled because ZUN didn’t want a Touhou anime. Something about that argument seemed fishy to me, because I thought the problem was that they had initially called it the “Touhou Anime Project”, and ZUN didn’t want unsuspecting people to mistake it for an official product, especially with the big-name seiyuus they had collected. I thought that when they changed the title to “Unofficial Touhou Doujin Anime”, everything was fine and they were happily continuing their project. The Internet didn’t think so, but I didn’t trust them.

I was right of course.
