Chuunibyou is about Yuuta Togashi, a freshman in high school. While in middle school, he suffered from “adolescent delusions” (chuunibyou). He believed he possessed supernatural powers, and called himself the “Dark Flame Master”. He grew out of it, but not before alienating everyone in school. So he goes to a high school where nobody will know him.
One of his classmates in high school is still a chuunibyou. Rikka Takanashi possesses the Tyrant’s Eye (color contact), and she wears an eyepatch constantly. She wields the fearsome Schwarz ZX Prototype Mark II (a frilly umbrella).
Unfortunately for Yuuta, Rikka learns of his Dark Flame Master past, and becomes interested in him.
